The philosophical problematic evoked by the word ‘animality’ creates various associations, more or less correct, with respect to the cultural, historical and scientific perspectives through which we want to face and question it. The comparison between the living being that we are since hundreds of thousands of years and the ‘equally living’ beings who share with us what we call ‘existence’ shows unexpected thresholds. Perhaps we feel the animal dimension as one of our dimensions or only of others; perhaps we feel ourselves inside the object of reflection or we place it in front of our thought: in any case, the deepening of the question first of all clarifies the idea we attribute to the ‘world’ and, consequently, to the ‘environment’ , the ‘body’ and the ‘community’. In this redesigning of the philosophical question of animality, the comparison with the ‘music’ as language, cultural and sound landscape is necessarily essential.
La problematicità filosofica che la parola ‘animalità’ pone evoca diverse associazioni, più o meno corrette, rispetto alle prospettive culturali, storiche e scientifiche con cui si decide di affrontarla e interrogarla. Il confronto con l’essere vivente che siamo da centinaia di migliaia di anni e con gli esseri ‘altrettanto viventi’ che dividono con noi ciò che chiamiamo ‘esistenza’, mostra al pensiero soglie inaspettate. Sia che la dimensione animale la si senta propria o altrui, sia che ci senta compresi nell’oggetto della riflessione o lo si ponga di fronte al pensiero, l’approfondimento ci chiarisce innanzitutto l’idea che attribuiamo al ‘mondo’ e, di conseguenza, a quelle di ‘ambiente’, ‘corpo’ e ‘comunità’. In questo ridisegnamento della questione filosofica, il confronto con la ‘musica’ in quanto linguaggio, panorama culturale e sonoro non può che essere essenziale.
