Starting from Rembrandt and the Ricœurian interpretation of the famous painting Aristotle touches the bust of Homer, this essay focuses on the text/interview with Paul Ricœur Arts, Languages and Hermeneutic Aesthetics. Trying to indicate the innovative themes of the interview, Caputo identifies (as a link-category between the philosophy of art and philosophy of life) the question of singularity, and the possibility/impossibility of communicating the naked experience that characterizes it.

Partendo da Rembrandt e dall’interpretazione che Ricœur dà del noto quadro Aristotele tocca il busto di Omero, il saggio si sofferma sul testo/intervista di Paul Ricœur Le arti, i linguaggi e l’estetica ermeneutica. Provando ad indicare i temi ‘innovativi’ presenti in essa, Caputo arriva ad individuare, come categoria-cerniera tra la filosofia dell’arte e la filosofia dell’esistenza, la questione della singolarità (e della possibilità/impossibilità di comunicare la nuda esperienza che la caratterizza).
