The essay retraces the reading of Johann Peter Hebel’s work proposed by Martin Heidegger in 1957. The key concept around which Heidegger’s speculative interpretation turns is the ‘Hausfreund’, the house friend. Specifying what this expression means, Hebel’s literary experience is here reported to the Heideggerian hermeneutic context, in which poetizing and thinking concern a single focus of interest, that is, the question of Being. In fact, both the experiences of poetry and of philosophy have – according to Heidegger – the task of bringing the essential to the word. In the name of this vital and theoretical commitment, it shows how the line of reading maintained by Messkirch’s philosopher remains faithful to the platonic βίος θεωρητικός.

Il presente saggio ripercorre la lettura del lavoro di Johann Peter Hebel proposta da Martin Heidegger nel 1957. Il concetto chiave intorno al quale ruota l’interpretazione speculativa di Heidegger consiste nello Hausfreund, l’amico di casa. Specificando ciò che significa questa espressione, l’esperienza letteraria di Hebel viene qui riportata al contesto ermeneutico heideggeriano, nel quale il poetare e il pensare riguardano un unico focus d’interesse, cioè la questione dell’essere. Infatti, entrambe le esperienze della poesia e della filosofia hanno – secondo Heidegger – il compito di portare alla parola l’essenziale. In nome di questo impegno vitale e teoretico a un tempo, si mostra come la linea di lettura mantenuta dal filosofo di Messkirch rimanga fedele al platonico βίος θεωρητικός.
