The following reflection starts from the awareness of the renewed topicality of beauty in the current time. So we try to scrutinize beauty as a possible approach to the mystery of God, through the words used to say Him in the languages of Western culture. It emerges a multiple but converging vision, that indicates beauty as fruitful door to encounter the living God, who says Himself in the body of the Son.

La riflessione che segue – partendo dalla consapevolezza della rinnovata attualità del bello nella coscienza del tempo che viviamo – tenta di scrutare la bellezza come via di possibile approccio al mistero di Dio attraverso le parole usate per dirla nelle lingue dell’Occidente. Ne emerge una visione dalle molteplici angolature, tutte convergenti però nell’indicare nella bellezza una porta feconda verso l’incontro con il Dio vivente, venuto a dirsi nella carne del Figlio.
