The entire span of Benjamin’s production – from 1913 to the 1930s – is marked by Nietzsche’s influence: we refer in particular to the concept of History opposed to the fetishism of the Past. In a time of ‘emergency’ (the late nineteenth-century décadence for Nietzsche and the Nazi totalitarianism for Benjamin) it is necessary to recognize the synchrony between present and past, the break in the continuum, capable of critically evaluating History and moving to action. What affinities are there between the concepts of Nietzsche’s ‘Untimely’ and of Benjamin’s ‘Remembrance’ and how can they intervene in the scholastic reform?

L’intero arco della produzione di Benjamin – dal 1913 agli anni ’30 – è segnato dalla influenza di Nietzsche sul concetto di Storia opposto al feticismo del passato. Nel tempo dell’emergenza (la décadence di fine ‘800 per Nietzsche e il totalitarismo nazista per Benjamin) è necessario riconoscere quella sincronia tra presente e passato, la rottura nel continuum, in grado di valutare criticamente la Storia e muovere all’azione. Quali affinità ci sono tra i concetti di ‘inattuale’ di Nietzsche e di ‘ricordo’ di Benjamin e come possono intervenire nella riforma scolastica?
