Il sottotitolo di questo primo numero di “Logoi” è un verso di Paul Klee; così come di Klee è il quadro che abbiamo scelto come immagine di copertina. Ed effettivamente si tratta di un’immagine evocativa, che in maniera sintetica offre – può offrire – una chiave di lettura del numero, e dell’intera rivista.
Il simbolo è talmente semplice da rischiare di essere banale. Due tra i più grandi pensatori del Novecento (Wittgenstein e Heidegger) in maniera diversa – ma accostabile proprio per l’uso metaforico dell’immagine – lo hanno usato per ‘dire’ il linguaggio. The subtitle of this first issue of “Logoi” is a line from Klee and we have also chosen a painting by Klee as the cover image. Indeed, it is an evocative image, which provides a concise key to understanding the issue and the Journal itself. The symbol is so simple that it runs the risk of being trivial.
Two of the greatest thinkers of the 20th century (Wittgenstein and Heidegger) in different ways – but both approachable because of the metaphorical use of the image – used it to ‘indicate’ the language: language as a maze of houses and streets (Wittgenstein); language as the house of Being, where man dwells (Heidegger)…
